The EnviCrime application serves the public to anonymously report suspected cases of illegal activity directed at the environment.The goal of the application is to help law enforcement authorities detect this type of illegal activity and contribute to its elimination.
Data on reported cases will be sent by encryption at regular intervals directly to the Police - Department of Detection of Hazardous Materials and Environmental Crime NCODK P PZ (so-called Enviropolicia), which will then deal with the relevant reports.
All reports will be anonymous.
You can read more about ensuring the anonymity of the reporter in the section "Guarantee of anonymity".Registration: Users can use the application without registration or register as anonymous users.
The application does not collect any personal data or data related to the phone device.
The application only collects information about illegal activity, geolocation of the incident location, photo, video, and audio documentation of the incident.• If the user uses the application without registration, it has the same functionality as a registered user.
However, the profile of an unregistered user only exists directly on his mobile device and is not backed up on the server.
If something happens to his device, he cant get back to the history of his reports.
Also, if he later creates an account in the application, it will not capture cases that the user reported as an unregistered user.• In the case of registered users, their anonymous accounts are backed up on the server, and through the login name and password, they can also start the account on a new mobile device and thus have access to all their reports.It is important to remember your password when registering.
Due to the fact that no personal information is stored for the accounts and they are completely anonymized, it is not possible to recover the account if the password is lost.
If the password is lost, the user must create a new account, but this way they will lose access to the history of reported incidents that are linked to their previous account.Your reports: For registered users, the application will initially show a map with all the reports that the given user has sent using the application.
Unregistered users will see the map without messages.You can add a message using the plus sign in the lower right corner.
Each incident is reported separately.Each report consists of steps: Incident, Location, Photo/Video, SummaryIn the incident, it is necessary to select which type of illegal activity the report refers to:● killing/trapping of animals = killing, illegal hunting or unauthorized trapping of animals● destruction of habitats (including illegal collection of plants)● illegal possession and trade in protected species● cruelty to animals● water pollution● air pollution● waste (illegal landfills)● illegal entry into protected areas.Individual incidents must then be further specified and relevant parameters selected for them, including whether the activity is ongoing or has already been completed.
A comment or voice message can be left describing each incident.Incident Location: A point with your current location will appear on the map.
If necessary, the point can be moved.Maps: It is possible to choose a basic map or an orthophotomap as the background maps.Base map source: OpenStreetMap®Photo/Video: Photo/video documentation of the incident location must be attached.
You can take photos/videos directly from the application environment, or you can download them from your devices gallery.
We recommend capturing the incident as precisely as possible and from multiple angles.
The report cannot be sent without attaching photo/video documentation.Summary: A summary of your report will be displayed, including the current date.
It can be changed if necessary (e.g.
if you observed the incident on a different day than when you submit the report).Editing: Editing of the report is not possible.
However, you can delete it within 5 minutes of sending it.Payments: The application is free and there is no charge for its use.Language: The application is available in Slovak and English.
